Gaertner M301A Micrometer Slide 2 Inch Travel with Post
$400.00The Gaertner Scientific M301A micrometer slide has two inches of travel. The carriage is threaded to accept the standard Gaertner measuring microscopes and telemicroscopes. The carriage ways are precision hand-scraped, and the leadscrew is hand-lapped to the nut. There is a special cam that tilts the nut as the carriage is positioned, thereby correcting any residual errors in the pitch of the lead screw..
There is a two inch scale to indicate the coarse position of the carriage, and a precision graduated drum to indicate the fine position directly to 0.0005 inches, and to 0.0001 inches via the vernier. A 19mm diameter post, 6 inches in length is permanently attached to the slide.
The slide is in superb condition, and has been cleaned and relubricated.
