Privacy & Security
We are fully committed to the protection of our clients’ privacy. We take the utmost precautions to safeguard your information. We use SSL Technology for encryption of online data and we never share your information with outside companies.

BMI Surplus, Inc. collects Customer Data of website visitors only in order to serve you better.  We utilize this collection of data only to analyze the needs of our customers.  This data is handled sensitively, securely and with proper regard to privacy.

Pricing

BMI Surplus, Inc. offers competitive pricing and exceptional customer service to our clients. If we have not priced an item, or if you want to make an offer, please call us.

Purchases within Massachusetts are subject to 6.25% sales tax.

BMI Surplus wants to insure all transactions go smoothly. We require that all Paypal customers have verified Paypal accounts.   Please check to be sure your Paypal account is verified and Paypal Eligible before you request to pay for your order via Paypal.

Warranty 

BMI Surplus, Inc. warrants that you will receive the items as pictured and/or described in the listing. The buyer is responsible to determine the suitability of the product for their application. The Cosmetic Condition of the items refers only to the physical appearance of an item and not its functionality. All items that are sold as “Untested” or “Parts Only are “AS IS” final sales and are not eligible to be returned.  BMI Surplus does not offer a warranty for items offered for sale beyond providing that you receive the item you ordered as pictured and/or described on our website.

Testing 

Untested, as is, and parts items are priced accordingly. Testing is available on some of our items.  If you would like an item to be tested please contact us for pricing and availability. The testing fee is payable in advance and is nonrefundable.

Calibration 

BMI Surplus, Inc. items are sold AS IS.  We do not offer calibration services.  Buyers will need to source their own calibration on applicable units.

Returns

All items that are listed as Condition- “Untested” or “Parts Only” on our website are sold “AS IS” are a final sale and not subject to return. These items are priced accordingly and as such are a final sale. Upon receipt of your order please promptly inspect your products for damage or discrepancy in what you ordered. If you did not receive the item you ordered please email to request a return at sales@bmisurplus.com within 5 business days of receipt of your purchase. Please include the order number in the subject box of your e-mail and specify the reason for your request to return the item in the e-mail.  Approved returns should be sent in their original packaging and in the condition in which you received the item. We require that you pack them securely, and that you include the original packing slip with the return along with written documentation of why the item is being returned. Items must be shipped back within 7 business days of receipt in order to be eligible for a refund or exchange. All returns will be checked in and assessed. Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.  **Requests to return or exchange an item must be made through our sales department either through email or a phone call. BMI Surplus reserves the right to make the final determination on the acceptance of a return or exchange on an individual basis. 

If BMI Surplus, Inc. ships you an item other than what you ordered please let us know immediately upon receipt. We will arrange the return of the incorrect item in exchange for the correct item at our expense.

Shipping

We offer parcel shipping with FedEx and UPS. If you have a preference and would like an item shipped on your account with a particular carrier, we will try to accommodate your request. We insure every small package shipped on our accounts for the full value of your purchase unless arranged otherwise in advance.

Most items are we shipped with a signature required at the time of delivery unless a release is provided in advance.

Shipping addresses usually cannot be changed after an item is shipped.

Orders are generally processed immediately upon receipt of payment and smaller items are shipped the same day if the order is placed prior to our daily cut off of 2:00pm EST. Most orders are shipped within 24 hours or on the next business day. Larger items may require more time to prepare for shipment. We do not ship on Saturday, Sunday, or Holidays. Clients will be notified if there is any unusual delay.

*Shipping charges will include the cost of shipping, handling and insurance fees.

Items weighing more than 50 lbs. and oversized items are often shipped via Freight. These items will require additional *Handling Charges* for pallet and crate construction. This handling charge will vary by item and will be quoted when you call for your shipping & handling quote.  We can arrange and quote freight or the buyer can arrange transport themselves or with a carrier. All Freight charges are pre-paid and billed.

Fragile items will require a “Handling Charge* as we want your delicate equipment to arrive safely at your door. This handling charge will vary by item and will quoted when you call for your shipping quote.

At the close of your purchase BMI Surplus may give you a recommendation on the method of which a delicate or fragile item should be shipped.  If you choose not to follow our recommendation on the shipment method of sensitive items, we will require you to sign a release prior to shipment absolving  BMI Surplus of any responsibility for any damage incurred during such shipment.

Concealed damage may not become apparent until the product has been unpacked. The contents might be damaged in transit due to rough handling even if the external carton does not show external damage. If any of these conditions are found to exist, contact the local shipping agent or the transportation company directly and file a damage report within 5 days after receipt. Any external evidence to the shipping container MUST be noted on the freight bill of lading and signed by the carrier’s agent. Failure to adequately describe such external damage may result in the carrier refusing to honor a damage claim. All damaged products received, including the individual product containers with the original shipping boxes and with the original packaging must be held in the exact condition as received. The transportation company will give instructions for disposition and any forms that are required to file a claim.

Any freight damaged product will not, under any circumstances, be considered for warranty replacement.

We make every effort to ship orders within 24 hours of receipt (except Saturday, Sunday & Holidays). You will be notified via email or telephone if there are any extended delays due to merchandise availability, seasonal volume, or any other unforeseen circumstances.

Many items are available for local pick up at our warehouse in Hanover, Massachusetts.  A proper sized vehicle would necessary for transport. Item must be paid in full prior to pick-up at our loading dock.  Give us a call at 781-871-8868 if you would like to talk about saving money through local pick up.

International Orders 

We are pleased to offer shipping across the globe. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or the shipping & handling charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to placing your order.  All orders will be an ‘AS-IS’ sale or if testing is available there will be a fee for testing prior to shipping. If NAFTA policy applies the customer should Email shipping@bmisurplus.com to request that BMI Surplus fill out the NAFTA Certificate of Origin form.

For international orders we only accept payment by wire transfer. Please go through the check out process and when the wire transfer is complete we will ship your order. There is a $40.00 non-refundable fee for all wire transfers. Our Bank information is: Rockland Trust Company, 288 Union Street, Rockland, MA 02370 USA, SWIFT (also called BIC) code : RTCOUS33, Routing number 011304478 (also called Fed Wire Number or Routing Transit Number), Account #2905010589. Please note the United States uses ABA routing numbers not IBAN, and include the sales order number or invoice number in the wire transfer information.

Some inventory is available only to our US clients due to government restrictions. Please understand that all orders for restricted products will be canceled.

Insurance/Lost & Damaged Goods 

FOB, “Freight On Board”, shall be the point of origin at the seller’s dock, located at 149 King Street, Hanover, MA 02339, USA. Buyer assumes title and all risk of loss from the FOB point.  Although we do not require our customers to purchase insurance we highly recommend it and we require a signed waiver if you choose not to insure your purchase. 

All items we ship on our accounts are insured for full value. If an item is damaged or lost in transit, customers may file a claim with the carrier within the guidelines set by the individual carrier. The item must be in the original packaging to place a claim. Please take photos of the damage to help in the claims process. We are happy to help facilitate the resolution of a claim in any way possible. 

Canceling an Order 

Orders can be canceled if the order has not yet been shipped. Please contact us via telephone to cancel your order. Deposits are non-refundable.

Disclaimer/Limits of Liability

All of our items are sold “untested” and “as is” unless otherwise stated. We do our best to describe each item and try to note and take pictures of cosmetic imperfections. Please read the description, look at images carefully, and ask questions prior to purchasing. BMI Surplus, Inc retains the right to make changes and/or improvements to our policy at any time.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine the product’s fitness for their application. By completing a purchase from BMI Surplus, Inc., the buyer hereby releases and holds harmless BMI Surplus, Inc., its employees, and officers from all claims arising out of the use, or misuse, of the equipment purchased. 

The company shall not be held liable for clerical, graphical, typographical, and printing errors. We welcome your suggestions. We strive to continuously improve our site and our customer’s shopping experience at www.bmisurplus.com.

The BMI Surplus Inc mobile message service (the “Service”) is operated by BMI Surplus Inc (“BMI Surplus Inc”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

By consenting to BMI Surplus Inc’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of BMI Surplus Inc through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).

You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with BMI Surplus Inc. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.

We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.

You may opt-out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to +18665016524 or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You’ll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other BMI Surplus Inc mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

The wireless carriers supported by the Service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.
