The Model 6800R is one in a series of Rugged Airborne Video Encoders which include both Standard Definition and High-Definition products. This unit accepts video and frame synchronous metadata over a SMPTE 292M interface. All products in the series are based on the same code set which ensures that all Delta products comply with the MISP requirements. Key to the MISP certification is the ability of the video encoders to very accurately timestamp and associate metadata with each video frame. This significantly increases the positional accuracy of motion imagery.
In addition to JITC compliance, Delta’s products comply with DO-160/Mil-STD-810/MIL-STD-461 environmental and EMI standards for airborne operation. This includes the Model 6021R Airborne Video Encoder which compresses standard definition (SD) video and is in use on Army, Navy, and Air Force manned and unmanned platforms.
