The objective was removed from a KLA project that was never commissioned. This objective includes the special protective stainless steel shroud. The set screws in the shroud are nylon tipped and no marks were left on the objective housing. The shroud is included. The glass is flawless.
This was a specially mounted version of the PL Fluotar 20x for use on KLA wafer inspection stations. There is no spring-loading for sample / objective protection. As such, the objective is most suitable as a replacement lens for KLA systems, but it may also be used on any Leitz metallurgical vertical illuminator that has an RMS thread. It may also be used on the more recent systems when employing an RMS to 32mm thread adapter.
The catalog number (567 051) was unique to the KLA version of this objective.
