Description

Leitz (marked �Leica Germany�) microscope objective for metallurgical instruments, of Plan Apochromatic correction. �Plan� objectives are corrected to display a perfectly flat image of up to 28mm in diameter, while apochromatic objectives represent the highest degree of color correction. The catalog number for this objective indicates it is a special version for KLA inspection stations, however, unlike most KLA objectives, this one retains the spring-loaded protection feature. It is identical in all respects to the standard PL Apo 50x metallurgical objective.

The standard RMS objective thread allows this objective to be used on earlier metallurgical instruments manufactured by Leitz from as long ago as the 1950’s, and via a ‘step-up’ 32mm thread adapter, on most of the currently produced instruments from Leica Microsystems.

The objective is in near-perfect cosmetic condition, and the glass is flawless.
