Spindler & Hoyer Adjustable Slit on Tripod
$525.00This is a beautifully made Spindler & Hoyer adjustable micrometer slit. The slit is actuated by a very fine threaded screw that drives a wedge against two flats milled into the corners of the slit blade carriers. It can be set anywhere between fully closed and approximately 3.8mm. The orientation of the slit is also adjustable � the entire slit carrier rotates on its carrier. There are two adjustable stops so the slit orientation is either horizontal or vertical at the extremes of motion. Slit height is 25mm. The diameter of the slit plate is 120mm.
The device is pin mounted (diameter is standard 13.7mm). The tripod base has two leveling feet and a small circular bubble level. There is a white scribe mark in the pin which, when set flush with the top of the support, places the slit at a height of 245mm above the table top (with the base leveled).
The instrument is in very fine condition � there are a few very tiny chips in the paint of the base, and the adjustment screw for the slit is slightly bent (but the bend is beyond the limits of its travel so it does not affect function).

Newport BA-3 Base (1.75 inches tall, for FH-1 Filter Holder
$20.00This Newport item consists of two components. The first is the BA-2 round flanged base. It may be used to place the FH-1 filter holder module optic axis at a height of 2 inches (height of flanged base is 0.75 inches). The second component is a 1 inch cylindrical spacer that converts the BA-2 base into a BA-3 base, lifting the optic axis height to 3 inches. The components may be separated easily to convert to the BA-2 base.
The bases are in very fine condition. Some of them have �componsite� labels on the flanged base, indicating a complete system, such as FH1-B2, others are not labeled. Price is for one unit (BA-2 plus 1 inch extension)!
