Analog Devices Inc. ADM7172CP-EVALZ Evaluation Board helps designers evaluate the functionality of the ADM7172 linear regulators. ADM7172CP-EVALZ can provide simple device measurements, such as line and load regulation, dropout, and ground current with just a single voltage source, a voltmeter, an ammeter, and load resistors.
2.3V to 6.5V Input voltage range
0mA to 2A Output current range
−0.5%/+1% Output voltage accuracy
-40°C to +125°C Operating temperature range
Output voltage can also be adjusted up with two external resistors from any fixed output voltage option
The ADL5801 uses a high linearity, doubly balanced, active
mixer core with integrated LO buffer amplifier to provide high
dynamic range frequency conversion from 10 MHz to 6 GHz.
The mixer benefits from a proprietary linearization architecture
that provides enhanced input IP3 performance when subject to
high input levels. A bias adjust feature allows the input linearity,
SSB noise figure, and dc current to be optimized using a single
control pin.
he high input linearity allows the device
to be used in demanding cellular applications where in-band
blocking signals may otherwise result in degradation in dynamic
performance. The adaptive bias feature allows the part to provide
high input IP3 performance when presented with large
blocking signals. When blockers are removed, the ADL5801
can automatically bias down to provide low noise figure and
low power consumption.
The ADL5801 is fabricated using a SiGe high performance IC
process. The device is available in a compact 4 mm × 4 mm,
24-lead LFCSP package and operates over a −40°C to +85°C
temperature range. An evaluation board is also available

The ADL5521 is a high performance GaAs pHEMT low noise
amplifier. It provides high gain and low noise figure for single-
downconversion IF sampling receiver architectures as well as
direct-downconversion receivers.
The ADL5521 provides a high level of integration by incorporating
the active bias and dc blocking capacitors, making it very easy
to use while not sacrificing design flexibility.
The ADL5521 is easy to tune, requiring only a few external
components. The device can support operation from 3 V to 5 V,
and the current draw can be adjusted with the external bias
resistor for applications requiring low power consumption.
The ADL5521 comes in a compact, thermally enhanced, 3 mm ×
3 mm LFCSP and operates over the temperature range of
−40°C to +85C.
Analog Devices ADM717x-EVALZ Evaluation Boards help designers evaluate the capabilities of the ADM7170/ADM7171/ADM7172 Ultra-low Noise, High PSRR, Fast Transient Response CMOS Low Dropout Linear Regulators (LDO). Operating from 2.3V to 6.5V and delivering up to 500mA of output current, the ADM7170/ADM7171/ADM7172 LDOs are ideal for the regulation of high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits operating from 6V down to 1.2V rails. Using the ADM7170ACP-EVALZ/ADM717Q1CP-EVALZ/ ADM7172ACP-EVALZ evaluation boards, designers can access simple device measurements including line and load regulation, dropout, and ground current with a single voltage source, a voltmeter, an ammeter, and load resistors.

The typical Gumstix configuration consists of a computer-on-module or COM and an expansion board.
The expansion board can be off-the-shelf from Gumstix or custom made. Gumstix openly publishes the schematics of all off-the-shelf expansion boards to assist rapid development of custom solutions.
For some applications, a camera board can be connected to the top of the Overo COM via a ribbon cable.
A typical Verdex Pro assembly consists of a Verdex Pro COM sandwiched between a 60-pin expansion board and an 80-pin expansion board.
The DuoVero COM, Overo COM and Verdex Pro COMs are unique to Gumstix.
The following information addresses the most common expansion options: a DuoVero COM with Parlor expansion board, an Overo COM mounted on a Tobi expansion board, and a Verdex Pro COM mounted on a Console-VX expansion board.
Overo and Tobi
An Overo COM connects to an Overo series expansion board via the two 70-pin AVX connectors located on the bottom side of the COM. Place the Tobi board on a flat, static-safe surface, align the COM with the white outline on the board above the connectors and gently press on the COM until it clicks into place.
