The Thorlabs VRC2D1 is a Ø1″ (Ø25.4 mm) alignment disk designed to aid in the alignment of laser beams within the 400 – 640 nm and 800 – 1700 nm wavelength ranges. It features an active region made from a slow-fading phosphor material that fluoresces upon exposure to these wavelengths, making the laser beam visible for alignment purposes. The disk requires charging with light in the 400 – 640 nm range to activate its fluorescent properties.
This alignment disk is unmounted, allowing for versatile integration into various optical setups.
