This TI TMS320C6X EVM board is designed to assist engineers, researchers, and institutions in evaluating the high-performance C6x DSP core from Texas Instruments. The C6x family (such as the TMS320C6201 fixed-point and TMS320C6701 floating-point DSPs) is part of TI’s TMS320C6000™ DSP platform.
The board allows you to plug into a PC via a PCI slot (for certain C6x EVM designs) or use it on a bench with an external power supply and emulator. The board includes host and DSP support software, an evaluation environment, and often interfaces for external memory, audio codec, and prototyping area.
This unit is ideal for:
-
Software algorithm development on the C6x DSP family
-
Teaching labs and academic research using high-performance DSPs
-
Legacy system support or embedded development and porting
-
Surplus stock for engineers needing evaluation hardware for fixed/floating DSP experiments
