Teac X-2000 Reel to Reel Deck. Vintage/Classic. Good condition with minor scuffs etc. Both units (two in inventory at time of listing) were recovered carefully stored in a climate-controlled A/V equipment room. Both units are exhibiting the same symptom; they power on but the pressure rollers are frozen in the engaged position and test tape cannot be used. No attempts by BMI Surplus will be made to lubricate or repair this item. Professional service by a knowledgeable technician is strongly recommended. No further testing is possible. Unit(s) will require mechanical and possible electronic restoration/repair. Each unit requires an oversized box and extra packing to minimize the possibility of transit damage – shipping cost will be high.
