The Symmetricom TTM637VME is a VMEbus-compatible Time and Frequency Processor module designed to provide precise time and frequency references to host computers and peripheral data acquisition systems. It acquires time from sources such as GPS satellites or time code signals, typically IRIG B. The module features a disciplined 10 MHz oscillator and a 100-nanosecond clock, ensuring high-accuracy timekeeping. Time is displayed on the front panel via LED digits showing hours, minutes, and seconds. Integration is facilitated with drivers available for several operating systems.
Key Features:
-
Time Code Inputs and Outputs: Supports IRIG A, IRIG B (modulated or DCLS), XR3, and 2137 time code inputs; generates IRIG B (modulated or DCLS) and IRIG H (DCLS) time code outputs.
-
Frequency Outputs: Provides selectable frequency outputs of 1, 5, or 10 MHz.
-
Pulse Outputs and Interrupts:
-
1PPS Pulse Rate Output/Interrupt: Generates a 1 pulse-per-second signal.
-
External Event Capture/Interrupt: Captures external events with 100-nanosecond resolution and zero latency.
-
Programmable Periodic Output/Interrupt: Allows generation of periodic pulses ranging from 2.3 mHz to 2.5 MHz.
-
Programmable Time Strobe Output/Interrupt: Enables generation of a strobe at a predetermined time.
