Starrett No. 463 Micrometer Head

The 463 series is a 0–½″ (0–13 mm) mechanical micrometer head.

It comes in different variants / configurations: plain, with ratchet stop, lock nut, carbide face, etc.

The finish is typically satin chrome, which helps with readability and resists glare / rust.

The spindle is “one-piece” hardened, for stability / durability.

There’s a ring-type lock nut on some versions so you can lock the setting.
