Newport 426A Linear Translation Stage, 2 inch

This is a Newport stage with cross-roller bearings for very high-resolution positioning, low-runout, and large load capacity. These stages do not have the external locking plate installed. The actuator holder and bearing pad holder are both stainless steel, the latter with a hardened carbide insert. Actuator holder and bearing pad holder may be placed on either side of the stage for a choice of right or left-handed operation. Newport model number is 426A.

The stages include a 100 TPI hex drive screw actuator assembly. The distal end of the screw is lightly marked by a set screw having been used to secure a drive linkage, since removed. (See photo).

The stages are in near-perfect condition. As noted above, locking plate has been removed.
