This used Millipore Direct-Q 5 UV is a versatile laboratory water purification system designed to produce both Type I (ultrapure) and Type III (pure) water directly from potable tap water . The Direct-Q 5 is an ideal solution for laboratories with daily Type I water needs of 5 to 15 liters, providing a convenient, space-saving alternative to larger systems .
The system delivers ultrapure water (Type I) at 18.2 MΩ·cm resistivity with a low TOC level of <5 ppb thanks to an integrated 185/254 nm dual-wavelength UV lamp that reduces organic content . The Type III water (RO) is produced at a rate of 5 liters per hour . The system features a built-in 10-liter tank for the storage of RO water, ensuring a ready supply for general lab applications .
