This Leitz objective is intended for work in the materials sciences – it is part of a series of objectives computed for use without coverglass using brightfield reflected light illumination. This particular lens is of low enough numerical aperture that strict adhesion to the coverglass correction is not necessary.

Infinity correcttion � MUST be used with infinty vertical illuminators or tube lenses

The objective is in very fine condition. No blemishes could be seen in the glass. It dates from the late 1960’s to early 1970’s.
