Type of embedded computer module.  It contains a variety of components

• ActelA1240 FPGA:  This is a field Programmable Gate Array, a type of integrated circuit that can be  reprogrammed by the user.  IT is part of the ACT2 family.  It has 4000 gates and 684 CLBs.
• Zilog Z84C0006VEC Z80 CPU:  This is a central processing unit.
• Zilog Z84C4406VEC Z80 SIO/4: This is a serial input/output controller, used for communication with other devices.
• Crystal Oscillator:  This component provides the timing signal for the modules operations

The modules appears to have been used in industrial or embedded applications.  The components suggest it is designed for real-time processing and control.  It was part of a larger system.

The ACTEL FPGA is notable for its nonvolatile, user programmable nature, and it can be used in a variety of applications.

This board is untested. We are unable to test circuit boards at our facility.  All Circuit boards are final sale, sold “as is”
