Key Features & Benefits
Non-Invasive Measurement:
Provides safe, non-invasive measurement of kVp without disturbing high-voltage supply cables. The kVp divider is placed on the X-ray table with the filter pack in place, and the X-ray beam is collimated to the area of the filter pack .
Analog Output:
Provides an analog output voltage proportional to the instantaneous voltage applied to the X-ray tube. When connected to a storage oscilloscope (such as the Fluke 199XRAY Medical ScopeMeter), the kV waveform may be viewed directly .
Compatibility:
Can be connected to the Model 35050AT Dosimeter/kVp Readout for digital display of kVp values .
Portable Design:
Highly portable design contrasts with bulky, heavy high-voltage divider tanks, making it ideal for field service and biomedical engineering applications .
Wide Range Filter Pack:
Includes the Wide Range Filter Pack (37617) which allows high-accuracy measurements from 50 to 150kV .
Available Filter Packs & Options
| Filter Pack | Model | Application |
|---|---|---|
| Wide Range | 37617 | Standard 50-150 kVp measurement |
| Cadmium K-Edge Mammo | 37355 | Mammographic measurements |
| Linear Mammo | 37351 | Mammographic linear measurements |
| CT Filter Pack | 33551 | CT imaging applications |
| Mobile Filter Pack Plus | 37946 | For high ripple, high frequency generators (>1kHz, >8% ripple) |
| Low Range | 38237 | Lower kVp applications |
Mobile Filter Pack Application Note
The Model 37946 Mobile Filter Pack is required when measuring mid-to-high-frequency generators (>1 kHz) with substantial kV ripple (>8%). Use this filter pack only when both conditions exist simultaneously :
-
Ripple must be greater than 8% of the kVp
-
Ripple frequency must be greater than 1 kHz
If neither condition is present, use the wide range filter pack (50 to 150k) .
Applications
-
X-Ray System Calibration: For radiographic, fluoroscopic, mammographic, CT, and dental modalities
-
Quality Assurance: Government compliance testing and JCAHO accreditation measurements
-
Preventive Maintenance: Routine verification of X-ray equipment performance
-
Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnostic evaluation of X-ray generators
-
Installation and Setup: New equipment verification
