Description & Compatibility

• The CFS1-F1 is an SM1-threaded modular insert designed for Thorlabs’ CFS1 (and CFS1/M) sliding filter mounts.

• It accommodates up to two Ø1″ (25.4 mm) circular optics, each up to approximately 0.26″ (6.6 mm) thick. 

• Inserts can be snapped together via a dovetail hook-and-detent mechanism for alignment and modular stacking.

Application & Integration

• The CFS1-F1 inserts slide into the CFS1 filter mount, enabling users to mix various optics (e.g., filters, polarizers) and assemble up to four Ø1″ optics in series.

• The main CFS1 body features:

  • Threading compatible with SM1 lens tubes (1.035″-40).

  • An 8-32 (imperial) or M4 (metric) tap for post mounting.

  • Compatibility with 30 mm cage systems for versatile integration into optical setups.
