Product Description
Brunson Instrument Company Model 841 Alignment Telescope – Precision Line Scope for Industrial Optical Tooling
This used Brunson 841 is a precision alignment telescope (also known as a “line scope”) designed for establishing and maintaining principal optical reference lines in industrial and power generation applications . Brunson has been a leader in precision optical alignment since 1927, serving industries including aerospace, power generation, shipbuilding, and heavy manufacturing .
Alignment telescopes are used to establish a perfectly straight line-of-sight reference, which can then be used for bore straightness evaluation, turbine diaphragm alignment, generator positioning, and machinery installation . The instrument can be used in collimation, autocollimation, and autoreflection modes depending on the application.
Design Heritage: Brunson alignment telescopes are based on the original Keuffel & Esser (K+E) design, which Brunson adopted as its primary product line after acquiring Cubic Precision in 1997 . The instruments are manufactured from heavy-walled, heat-treated special alloy stainless steel tubing, concentrically ground to extremely fine tolerances .
Condition Note: This unit is untested and sold as-is. No tripod, carrying case, optical micrometer, or light source are included unless specified.
