Apex Microtechnology PA03 Power Operational Amplifier

The PA03 is a high-performance power operational amplifier.  It’s engineered for demanding applications that require both high voltage and high current capabilities with robust protection features.

Key Specifications

• Internal Power Dissipation: Up to 500 W, enabled by superior thermal conductivity of the copper PowerDIP package.

• Voltage Range: ±15 V to ±75 V (±75 V maximum).

• Current Capability: Up to ±30 A peak output.

• Gain Bandwidth: Approx. 1 MHz.

• Slew Rate: Around 8 V/µs.

• Thermal & SOA Protection:

  • Internal current limit of ~35 A, dynamically adjusted with temperature.

  • Junction temperature monitoring, throttling output if necessary to keep below ~175 °C, with a response time below 10 ms.

• Additional Features:

  • Laser-trimmed FET input stage for precise DC performance over temperature.

  • External shutdown control for system-level control.

  • Outputs swing very close to the supply rails, making full use of the voltage range.
