Agilent Technologies G2912A ALS Controller – External Controller for 7683 Series Autosamplers on Legacy GC Systems

This used Agilent G2912A is an external ALS (Automatic Liquid Sampler) controller designed to operate the 7683 series injectors and trays on legacy gas chromatograph (GC) systems . It is required for GC models that do not have an internal controller, specifically the 5890 Series II and the 6890A .

Please note: This model has been discontinued by Agilent, with no recommended direct replacement .

⚠ Important Compatibility Note: This external controller is not compatible with 6890N GCs (they have an internal controller) or non-upgraded 5890A GCs . For 6890A systems, the setpoints are entered using the GC keypad .

Compatible Systems

The G2912A is part of Agilent’s 7683B ALS system and is used with:

Gas Chromatographs (GCs) :

• 5890 Series II (requires external controller)

• 6890A (requires external controller)

• NOT for 6890N/6890 Plus (these use internal G2612A board)

Autosamplers (ALS) :

• 7683A and 7683B injectors

• 7683 series tray systems

Software Compatibility:

• Supported by Agilent ChemStation and OpenLab CDS 2.6 / OpenLab ChemStation C.01.10 on Windows 10 systems
