This item is a Tropel Mirror Mount, Model 603. It will accommodate mirrors or lenses of 2� diameter. The mount includes a large knurled clamping ring to secure the mirror in the mount without the requirement for special spanner tools. The clear aperture of the mount is 1.875�. Clear aperture of the securing ring is 1.75�. Outside diameter of the mounting system is 3.875�, with a nominal thickness for the clear anodized aluminum portion of 0.912�. Leveling of the element is accomplished via three symmetrically positioned micrometer spindles.
The mounting is in near-perfect condition. All spindles turn very freely.
