This is the base portion of a generic boom stand for stereo microscopes. It is patterned after the classic Bausch & Lomb ‘S-Stand’ and has similar dimensions.
Base is 10.5 inches square and almost and inch thick. The upright pillar is 16 inches tall and 33.95mm in diameter. The pillar includes a stop block with clamp. The stand is missing the cross-block and boom arm.
Condition is excellent. There is some scoring in the chrome plating of the pillar (see second photo).
