Primatics Motor Drive Chassis MDC 400, Four Axis Modules
This motion control drive chassis is a modular system that holds up to four various types of motor driver cards, a choice of several different interfaces, along with all the power supplies and safety interfaces required for operation. These units are all equipped with four micro-stepper type driver cards, and a Galil DMC-1700 interface.
The four identical micro-stepper interface cards may be independently configured for
� 400 and 51200 steps per revolution (assuming a 1.8 degree two-phase step motor)
� Drive current is PWM 20 kHz.
� Current 1.0 to 7 amps peak, maximum 5 amps RMS.
� Maximum Step frequency is 1.8 mHz
The Galil interface is compatible with the following types of controllers:
� Optima DMC-13×8 (VME 1-4 axis, 64 I/O)
� Optima DMC 16×0 (CompactPCI 1-4 axis, 64 I/O)
� Optima DMC-1700 (ISA 1-8 axes)
� Optima DMC-18×0 (PCI 1-8 axes)
� Econo DMC-18×2 (PCI 1-4 axes)
� Accelera DMC 18×6 (PCI 1-8 axes)
� Optima DMC 20×0 (USB/RS-232, 1-8 axes)
� Optima DMC 21×2 (Ethernet / RS232, 1-8 axes)
� Optima DMC 22×0 (Ethernet / RS232 1-8 axis, 64 I/O; Box)
The controller card resides in the computer and is not included with this listing. Connection between the controller and the Interface is via a 100-pin high-density cable. This will need to be sourced elsewhere along with the controller card.
Optionally, Primatics offers several other computer interfaces, including a Galil Accelera, Delta Tau PMAC 2, and a National Instruments NI-7344.
The controllers are in near-unused condition and are guaranteed to be fully functional. They were recently removed from a prototype laboratory environment. Most units have rack-mount ears. They are 3U tall.
