Description

Leitz (marked �Leitz Wetzlar Germany�) microscope objective for metallurgical instruments, of NPL Fluotar correction. NPL objectives are corrected to display a perfectly flat image of up to 20mm in diameter (useable in larger field instruments with some loss of resolution at the margins of the field), while Fluotar objectives represent a very high degree of color correction.

The objective is in new condition, and the glass is flawless. This was a specially mounted version of the NPL 20x for use on KLA wafer inspection stations. There is no spring-loading for sample / objective protection. As such, the objective is most suitable as a replacement lens for KLA systems, but it may also be used on any Leitz metallurgical vertical illuminator that has an RMS thread. It may also be used on the more recent systems when employing an RMS to 32mm thread adapter.
