This Leitz objective is intended for work in the materials sciences – it is part of a series of objectives computed for use without coverglass using brightfield reflected light illumination. . The objective is infinity corrected, so it MUST be used with an infinity correction tube lens, such as found in most Leitz metallurgical vertical illuminators.

Fluorite correction (not flatfield)

Correction distance – 45mm
Coverglass correction – must be used without coverglass.
The objective is in very fine condition. No blemishes could be seen in the glass. It dates from the late 1960’s to early 1970’s.
