Cylindrical Lens, +40mm f.l., Mounted

Description

This is a plano-cylindrical lens. These lenses have a defined magnification in one direction, and perpendicular to that direction they are effectively ‘unpowered’. Cylindrical lenses find numerous applications in holography, as well as imaging elongated slits in spectrometers and monochromators.

This lens has been mounted in a small square holder, 1.25 inches on a side and .375 inches thick. The off-center aperture is 16 by 24mm. These lenses have not be cut down so they do protrude from the edge of the cell by approximately 8 or 9mm.
