Adjustable Slit with Micrometer Actuator.
This is a standard SPEX adjustable knife-edge slit for a monochromator. The main housing is 4 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep. The slit is located approximately at the mid point of the housing. The slit dimensions at maximum opening are 22mm tall, and 3mm wide. The micrometer is graduated in 2 micron divisions, and reads correctly (when set to zero, the slit has just closed).
The slit is in excellent condition and works properly throughout its range.
