US Laser Polarizing Prism Attenuator with Rotating Waveplate for 1064 nm
U. S. Laser Adjustable Attenuator, Model 1005-3-B-2 on carrier fitting US Laser optical benches. Carrier has sprocket-driven belt linkage to rotatable wave plate. Polarizing calcite prism is adjustable through 360 degrees and can be locked via a clamping ring. Prism is about 12mm square in cross-section. Free opening of holder is 10mm diameter. The wave plate may be rotated independently of the prism. It has it�s own locking collar.
All parts of the assembly are in flawless condition including the optics. Attenuator allows adjustment of laser intensity over a range of approximately 100:1 with a less than 15% insertion loss. The drive mechanism has the advantage of allowing attenuation adjustment without having to open the laser enclosure. The external actuator knob and system connecting the carrier to the external actuator are not present..
