It provides essential system control functions for VMEbus installations, including bus arbitration, interrupt handling, serial and parallel communications, and GPIB connectivity, making it suitable for industrial automation, embedded computing, laboratory instrumentation, and test systems. The controller serves as the central management board within a VMEbus chassis by coordinating communication between the processor, peripheral boards, and the VME backplane.
