The Newport RS48-18 Optical Table is a research-grade vibration isolation platform designed for precision optical, laser, metrology, and scientific laboratory applications. Featuring a rigid steel honeycomb core construction and Newport’s advanced damping technology, this table provides exceptional stability for sensitive experiments and measurement systems.

The table measures 4 feet wide by 8 feet long with an 18-inch-thick core, providing a large, highly stable work surface. The ferromagnetic stainless steel top is drilled and tapped on a 1-inch grid pattern with 1/4-20 threaded holes, making it compatible with a wide range of optical mounts, breadboards, and positioning systems. Newport’s trussed honeycomb design minimizes deflection while maximizing vibration damping and structural rigidity.
