Specifications:
• Diameter: 50 mm (2 inches)
• Thickness: 5 mm
• Substrate: Silicon (opaque, high thermal conductivity)
• Coating: Dielectric high-reflector (HR) for CO₂ lasers
• Edge: Beveled/polished
Condition: Used, in good optical condition overall. There is a small edge chip (approximately 15 mm along the rim) that slightly damages the coating in that area only — no central surface scratches, burns, or delamination visible. Central clear aperture is at least 35 mm diameter. Perfect for applications with beam diameters under ~30-35 mm, such as many industrial/engraving CO₂ laser systems, beam steering, or experimental setups where full aperture is not required.
This is a classic high-power CO₂ laser optic, from II-VI. Excellent value for hobbyists, repair, or spare parts.
Common Applications/Uses:
Beam steering, folding, and turning in industrial CO₂ laser systems (cutting, engraving, marking, welding)
• Replacement mirror for professional/high-power laser machines (e.g., Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, or similar systems using larger optics)
• High-power material processing on metals, plastics, wood, acrylic, fabrics, and more
• Scientific and research setups involving 10.6 μm IR lasers (e.g., spectroscopy, beam delivery)
• Upgrades or repairs for larger hobby/enthusiast CO₂ laser builds
• Any application requiring durable, high-damage-threshold reflection of CO₂ laser light
