APC-7 Adjustable Stub – Precision – 3.75 inch.
We were not able to discover any information on this item. It appears to be a precision adjustable stub with an APC-7 connector. There is no dielectric bead. The center conductor is adjustable independently of the stub. It looks like the conductor is supposed to set proud of the mating flange so it may be engaged with the connector to which is will be mated. Once the stub is secured, the center conductor is clamped in place via the small knurled head on the end of the stub. The stub is adjusted using the oval cross-section sleeve concentric with the stub. It is graduated at 1/4 inch intervals, and has an adjustment range of 3.75 inches. Overall length of the stub (not including the handle for the center conductor) is 15.75 inches.
The stub is in excellent condition, with a few minor scuff marks on the outside surface, but the mating surfaces appear to be free of any blemish. Both the conductor and the stub adjustments work smoothly. The center conductor can be locked when the knurled knob is turned to its limit in either direction – the conductor is ‘released’ when the knob is in its center position.
