HP 10702A Linear Interferometer 1st Grade
$225.00This item is an HP 10702A Linear Interferometer with one HP 10703A. Retroreflector and one HP 10722 Converter Window attached. A second reflector is not included. This is the basic interferometer in the 1.5 cube factor. It consists of a polarizing beam-splitter and the corner-cube reflector. One interferometer and one detector are required for each axis in the Hewlett-Packard Laser Interferometer Distance Measurement Apparatus. The addition of the compensating converter window allows a second retroreflector to move relative to the fixed interferometer body..
The angle of the beam-splitter is not critically set within the cube in order to keep component prices reasonable. For precise positioning it is recommended that the beam-splitter is fixtured using a large leveling base (HP 10711A). These mounts allow for corrections in two directions. Pitch may be adjusted through several degrees about the axis of the mirror component by resetting the cradle position in the base, and yaw may be adjusted using the play in the elongated slots for securing the base. The base of the mount has an open aperture so the beam path may be directed through the base of the fixture.

HP 10715A Differential Interferometer
Original price was: $1,200.00.$650.00Current price is: $650.00.HP 10715A Differential Interferometer
HP 10715A Differential Interferometer, new in the original packing. It is one of the more elaborate interferometers using the 1.5 cube form factor. These components belong to the Hewlett-Packard Laser Interferometer Distance Measurement Apparatus. The interferometer includes a special diagonal beam-splitting window which I have not figured out it may be some sort of phase shifting plate to turn the plane of polarization. The interferometer includes a special magnetic target disk used in the initial setup of the device. It includes two retroreflector modules and a converter window, but attached to the opposite side from the converter, is another module with a right-angle beam-splitter with two exit ports on each side, marked A and B. There appears to be a quarter-wave plate between the main interferometer body and the second beam splitter. I have no idea how the diagonal mirror is used. . .
Slight chip on unused portion of the reference mirror.
Again, this is new in the box. I believe this component would benefit from the use of the large leveling base (HP 10711A). The only mounting faces are the opposite sides of the main interferometer body.

HP 10702A Linear Interferometer Options
$350.00HP 10702A Linear Interferometer with Options 001
This item, while missing the original HP label, has been identified as a type 10702A Linear Interferometer. The interferometer body has been scribed with the original beam-path schematic diagram found on the original label. This is one of the medium-sized components in the Hewlett-Packard Laser Interferometer Distance Measurement Apparatus. The central cube is 1.5 square. On one side of the beam-splitter is a type HP 10703A Retroreflector, and on the opposite side, a type HP 10724A Plane Mirror. This interferometer is equipped with the Option 001 a type HP 10722 Converter Window. None of the components have the original labels.
Beams should ONLY be deflected at right angles in each laser / detector assembly in order to avoid depolarization of the laser beams.
These components have been removed from various fixtures. They have been classified as second quality because of the missing labels as well as the rather crudely scribed schematics. All optical surfaces are free of blemishes and there are no gouges or distortions in any of the parts that would in any way impede accuracy of measurements. Cosmetically these components appear in very fine condition, although not new. Unlike new components, no hardware is included.

Hewlett Packard 10567A Beam Splitter, 1st Grade
$195.00This item is an HP 10567A Dual Beam Beam-Splitter. This is a rather elaborate component in the Hewlett-Packard Laser Interferometry Dimensional Measurement System. It is intended for use with two axis stages. There is a single 45-degree diagonal mirror mounted within the block, but it is not face-centered. The mirror has three zones of reflectance (or transmission), and three apertures on the side of the block facing the laser source. The lowest aperture is uncoated so the entire beam passes straight through the block The central aperture is where the source laser enters the block. The substrate at that point has a 50% coating, so half of the energy is reflected to the top on the block, and the remainder passes straight through. The upper aperture (on the side facing the laser) has a 100% mirror all the light flux is diverted at right angles.
The outer two apertures on the side facing the laser are intended for the return beams from the interferometer bodies in each axis. The receivers may be placed on the same side of the block as the laser source. This is very useful when there are space constraints.
These components have been removed from various fixtures. They meet our requirements for first quality used interferometer components. All optical surfaces are free of blemishes and there are no gouges or distortions in any of the parts that would in any way impede accuracy of measurements. Cosmetically these components appear only lightly used, if not new. Unlike new components, however, no hardware is included.

HP 10565A Remote Interferometer
$450.00This is an HP 10565A Remote Interferometer. It is one of the major components in the Hewlett-Packard Laser Interferometer Measurement System. It is based on the larger 2 cubes, and uses a 1.4 square bolt pattern for mounting. The interferometer includes the matching retroreflector (HP 10556A). The remaining three entry / exit faces of the cube appear to have lambda plates installed within them. I believe this is the standard configuration for the interferometer. No other reflectors (retro- or mirror) are included.
These components have been removed from various fixtures. They meet our requirements for first quality used interferometer components. All optical surfaces are free of blemishes and there are no gouges or distortions in any of the parts that would in any way impede accuracy of measurements. Hewlett Packard 10700A 33% Splitter
$105.00This item is an HP 10700A 33% Beam Splitter. It is a basic component of the Hewlett Packard Laser Interferometry Distance Measuring Apparatus. It is one of several components based on a 1 steel cube. The cube has a beam-splitting reflector set at 45-degrees and face-centered to three adjacent faces. The mirror surface is coated. These components are useful when it is desired to have three axes tied to a single laser (each axis will require its own interferometer and detector, however). The first beam-splitter in the system would be the 33% splitter, leaving roughly 66% of the beam to travel to a second 50% beam-splitter for the other two axes. In that manner each receiver will be working at approximately the same power level.
, 2nd Grade
The angle of the beam-splitter is not critically set within the cube in order to keep component prices reasonable. For precise positioning it is recommended that the beam-splitter is fixtured using a small leveling base (HP 10710A). Beams should ONLY be deflected at right angles in each laser / detector assembly in order to avoid depolarization of the laser beams. Beams can be deflected through an aperture in the base of the mount for utmost versatility. These components have been removed from various fixtures. Insp L Objective from Small Nikon Profile
$20.00This is a specialized objective lens taken from a modest-sized Nikon Profile projector. It is engraved merely ‘Insp. L.’ – no magnification or any other marks on the lens. The projector was woefully incomplete and was parted out some time ago.
Cosmetic condition of the barrel is very good – however the lens itself does suffer from numerous fine scratches from careless cleaning (last photo shows them much more pronounced than they actually are – the wonders of digital photography). The objective thread is 28.1 mm in diameter – rather odd. . . We are also offering the other objectives from this projector as well as the original turret. Please check our other listings.
